Farm Animals are Prohibited - Pine Forest Country Club

The HOA strictly prohibits keeping farm animals on any property. The Town of Summerville also has restrictions.

Sec. 4-3. – Keeping of swine. It shall be unlawful and shall be deemed a public nuisance for any person to keep any live swine within the corporate limits of the municipality.(Code 1982, § 3-3)
Sec. 4-4. – Poultry at large. It shall be unlawful for any person to permit or allow any chickens, ducks, geese or other poultry of any kind or description to be at large within the corporate limits of the municipality, except on lands owned, leased or controlled by such person.(Code 1982, § 3-4)
Sec. 4-5. – Stables; horse or mule pens. No livery stable, sale stable, stable for boarding horses or mules or horse or mule pen shall be erected, maintained or operated within the corporate limits of the municipality, unless it complies with chapter 32, pertaining to zoning.(b)This section shall not apply to a private horse pen or horse stable wherein not more than two equines are kept; provided, however, that such private horse pen or horse stable shall not be located nearer than 60 feet to any residence other than the residence of the owner of such equines, and shall not be located nearer than ten feet to any property line.(Code 1982, § 3-5)
